Second Death Reported in Father's Day Accident

Manuel Gutierrez Vazquez, 27, of Camden, was charged with a second count of death by auto, according to The Times.

New charges are pending against an allegedly drunk driver relating to the death of a Trenton man in an car accident on Father’s Day, according to The Trenton Times.

Manuel Gutierrez Vazquez, 27, of Camden, was charged with a second count of death by auto, according to The Times. Vazquez was already facing death-by-auto charges in the death of Jorge DeLeon, following the crash early Sunday morning, according to The Times. 

Vazquez was driving the wrong way down Route 29 Sunday morning when he collided with DeLeon’s car, according to The Times.

Vazquez was facing an additional charge of assault by auto relating to Jorge DeLeon’s daughter, Jasmine. When Jasmine died on Monday, the charge was upgraded to death-by-auto, according to The Times.

His bail has been increased to $400,000. It was previously $150,000.
