Lottery for Low Income Families for District Preschool Program

Children must be at least 4 years of age and no older than 5 on Oct. 1 to be eligible.

The Lawrence Township School District is now accepting applications for low income families for the district’s preschool program for 4 year olds located at Ben Franklin Elementary School. This is a comprehensive program that services typically developing, low income, and special needs 4-year-old children. Classes will meet for 61⁄2 hours per day, 5 days per week. The 4-year-old class will consist of 18 to 20 children. Special needs students will be placed in the program by identification, evaluation, and eligibility procedures as outlined in the New Jersey Administrative Code. 'Preschool and Activities Fair' to be Held on Jan. 19

The Jan. 19 event at Lawrence High School will offer "one-stop shopping for information about area preschools and activities for young children in Mercer County."

The Mom’s Club of Lawrenceville will host its annual "Preschool and Activities Fair" at Lawrence High School from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 19. The event at the school at 2525 Princeton Pike will offer "one-stop shopping for information about area preschools and activities for young children in Mercer County." The fair is free and open to the public and will feature free babysitting services, as well as face painting and other activities to occupy young children. Apply Now for District's 3-Year-Old Preschool Program

Applications must be submitted no later than March 8. Class size is limited to 16. A lottery will be held to place eight typically developing students in the class, while eight special needs students will be placed in the class according to state law.

Lawrenceville Nursery School to Hold Tours of Classes

Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church Cooperative Nursery School is accepting applications for its Fall 2012 preschool classes.

Editor's Note: The following news brief was contributed by Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church Cooperative Nursery School. Come visit our cooperative preschool to see our wonderful teachers and program in action. During the week of March 27-30 we will be scheduling group tours between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.  for our 3- and 4-year-old and 4- and 5-year-old classrooms. Since it is our chick hatchery week you and your child may even see a chick hatch or pet a little fuzzy chick while you are visiting. We are currently enrolling for Fall 2012. Lawrence Road Presbyterian Named Favorite Preschool

Readers of Lawrencville Patch have voted Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church Nursery School as their favorite preschool in Lawrence Township during this week's "Readers' Choice" poll.

Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church Nursery School was named by the readers of Lawrenceville Patch as their favorite preschool in Lawrence Township during this week’s “Readers’ Choice” poll. Located at 1039 Lawrence Rd. (Route 206), LRPCNS garnered 75 votes, representing 53 percent of the 141 votes cast. Lawrenceville Presbyterian Cooperative Nursery School received 35 votes, although it should be noted that LPCNS was inadvertently omitted from the list of candidates for the first 17 hours the poll was open for voting on Monday. Saint Ann School received 16 votes and Crayons Nursery School got 11 votes.
