Kids’ Used Toy and Clothing Sale on Saturday at LES

The event, sponsored by the PTO of Lawrenceville Elementary School, will runs from 8 a.m. to noon at the school on Craven Lane.

The Lawrenceville Elementary School (LES) PTO will hold its semi-annual Kids’ Used Toy and Clothing Sale on Saturday,March 9, from 8 a.m. to noon inside Lawrenceville Elementary School at 40 Craven Lane. Dozens of families from the community will be selling items, including gently-used spring/summer children’s clothing in sizes newborn to 16, maternity clothing, baby equipment and accessories, toys, books, videos, and more. The LES PTO hosts this event every fall and spring. Items that do not sell are donated to organizations that support local families in need. Tickets on Sale Now for LES PTO 'Casino Night'

The fundraiser on April 13 will benefit Lawrenceville Elementary School.

Annual LES Science & Discovery Night to be Held Friday

The event at Lawrenceville Elementary School on Jan. 25 is "open to all families interested in a fun evening of science and discovery."

The Lawrenceville Elementary School PTO will host its annual Science & Discovery Night on Friday, Jan. 25., from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the school at 40 Craven Lane. Children will have the opportunity to explore with hands-on activities and demonstrations led by local parents, scientists and engineers. The Peaceable Kingdom will be bringing a petting zoo and exotic animals, while Bricks4Kids will host a Lego exploration room. There will be a "flight room," and multiple hands-on experiments including "making bouncing balls and playing with goo." While the event is geared for children in kindergarten through third grade, it offers fun for entire families. Admission is $5 per child. Adults and children under 3 are free. Food including …

LES Teacher to Receive Distinguished Service Award

Becky Young, music teacher at Lawrenceville Elementary School, will be honored by the New Jersey Music Educators Association.

Becky Young, music teacher at Lawrenceville Elementary School, will receive the Distinguished Service Award from the New Jersey Music Educators Association (NJMEA) at their convention in February. Becky was nominated for the award by Lawrence Middle School Orchestra teacher Melissa Clark.

Lawrenceville Elementary School to Host Blood Drive

The blood drive will take place at the school on Thursday, Nov. 15, from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Lawrenceville Elementary School, in cooperation with the Community Blood Council of New Jersey, will hold its annual Blood Drive this Thursday, Nov. 15 from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the school on Craven Lane. The blood council will donate $10 per unit of blood donated to the award-winning Lawrenceville Elementary School garden. According to the UNC School of Medicine, between just over 40 and 70 percent of United States residents will need donated blood or blood products in their lifetime, yet less than 5 percent of the eligible population donates. Kids' Used Toys and Clothing Sale Set for Saturday

The event will be held inside at Lawrenceville Elementary School from 8 a.m. to noon on Oct. 6.

The Lawrenceville Elementary School PTO's will hold its indoor semi-annual Kids' Used Toy and Clothing Sale at the school on Craven Lane from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 6. Over 140 families from the community will participate by selling gently used items. Remaining items are donated to organizations that support local families in need. Registration to Begin for Kids Used Toys and Clothing Sale

The semi-annual fundraiser for Lawrenceville Elementary School will take place on Oct. 6. Electronic registration for sellers wishing to take part will be held Sept. 7-10.

LES Kindergarten Teacher Helps Out in Guatemala

Lawrenceville Elementary School Kindergarten teacher Jeff Berry and 23 other professionals traveled to Guatemala this summer to build health clinics and repair the homes of impoverished families.

Lawrenceville Elementary School Kindergarten teacher Jeff Berry recently joined a team of 23 others, including doctors, nurses, teachers, pastors, other professionals, and students, on a trip to Guatemala. Together they set up health clinics that saw and administered to the needs of upwards of 700 people, mostly women and children. They also built 12 specialized - and, as Jeff says, "ingenious" - stoves into the homes of some very impoverished people in a lakeside town called San Lucas Tolimon. Love Grows Through Music at Lawrenceville Elementary

The final song of the recent Kindergarten Concert at LES was dedicated to Jackie Cleak, kindergarten assistant, who is retiring after 26 years of service to the children of Lawrence Township Public Schools.

"Love Grows" was the theme for the Kindergarten Concert held at Lawrenceville Elementary School on Friday, June 8. Music specialist Rebecca Young directed the children in songs including, "It’s Such a Good Feeling" by Fred Rogers, and "Hello Song" by M. Schwartz. The final song, "Love Grows" by Carol A. Johnson, was dedicated to Jackie Cleak, kindergarten assistant, who is retiring at the end of this month after 26 years of service to the children of Lawrence Township Public Schools.

LES Third-Graders Visit Kidsbridge Tolerance Museum

Students from Lawrenceville Elementary School recently visited the museum on the campus of The College of New Jersey to learn how to respect differences, cooperate, and resolve bullying scenarios.

Third-grade CARE (Children Acting Responsibly Everyday) Kids from Lawrenceville Elementary School recently visited the Kidsbridge Tolerance Museum on the campus of The College of New Jersey. Kidsbridge Tolerance Museum focuses on character education by teaching life skills including respecting differences, cooperation, anti-bullying, and peaceful interaction skills. The children visited stations guided by TCNJ students and adult museum volunteers as well as CARE Kids Advisors who are members of Lawrenceville Elementary School's PTO. Some of the interactive centers included making good choices at the "School Bus Showdown," learning about physical and learning disabilities at "Sensitivity to Disabilities," and working together cooperatively …
