Under sloppy field conditions, the Lawrence Leopards U-9 Girls played an outstanding game and demonstrated how far they've come this past season. The Leopards dominated play throughout the game, showing greater confidence and skill on the ball, better organization and positioning, and superior ball movement compared to their opponent. Excellent passing from Olivia Drake, Emily Franceschini, Isabella Garcia and Isabelle Flemm helped the Leopards maintain possession, producing numerous shots on goal. GIRLS 5-6 Playing a tough defensive opponent on Saturday, Ashley Ramos helped set the Boston Breakers up for a few goals while being strongly supported by Emma Monaghan and Kendall Jodoin. Sophia Cook and Lexie Loughran dribbled into open space to send some amazing passes directly in front of the net. Performing a few give-and-go passes, Lily Bowes and Hayley Jodoin created fantastic scoring opportunities down both sides of the field. Lawrence U-9 Strikers The Lawrence U-9 Strikers were on fire as they defeated the North Hunterdon Arsenal 5-1. Theo Sardain ignited the offense out after receiving a fantastic pass from Ryan Milano and then proceeded to make a cross from the left side onto the foot of Sam Bowes who redirected it into the goal. Aidan McChesney worked his magic by setting up Sardain for two goals, and Harrison Bohra scored his first goal as a Striker after Dylan Adamsky sent the cross in front of the net. Adamsky followed with a goal of his own after Matt Sargent set him up beautifully and Adamsky split the defense and …

U-9 Girls Lawrence Leopards vs. Ewing Girls SC Overdrive In their best showing of the season, the Leopards had an outstanding game winning (5-0) against the Ewing Girls SC Overdrive. After Mackenzie Esposito scored two goals in the first half, the team never looked back. The girls played with great confidence and dominated possession, displaying a much improved passing game. Sophia Denarski, Emily Franceschini and Briana Audet each scored a goal. With a larger, widened field Lily Bowes and Ashley Ramos found space to dribble and created many scoring opportunities. The grouping of Emma Monaghan, Kendall Jodoin, and Lexie Loughran created 1-2-3 pass combinations to take the ball down the field and put it in the back of the net. Hayley Jodoin and Kira Jolly played through tough colds to prove their dedication and strength as they tallied a few goals of their own. GIRLS U-9 Lawrence Leopards 2-2 at the Hamilton Soccer Tournament The Leopards enjoyed four highly competitive matches at the Hamilton Soccer Tournament, coming away with their first ever tournament victories. In their first game Saturday, the Leopards faced the formidable Hainesport SC Angels, an upper flight opponent. The Leopards came up short in a fiercely contested match; the game was much closer than the final score indicated (0-4). In their second game on Saturday, they faced in-league opponent Voorhees SC Dynamos and came up short 1-2. In both games, the Leopards put forth tremendous effort, led …

GIRLS U-9 Lawrence Leopards The Leopards had a hard fought road game against a very good opponent in the Lumberton Crush. In the first half, the Leopards experimented with a number of players trying new positions for the first time. As a result, the Leopards played somewhat tentative during the initial period, allowing Lumberton to control the ball and flow of the game – falling behind for the first time this season by a 2-1 score. After halftime adjustments were made, the Leopards were much more aggressive and were able to dominate play and possession in the second period, ultimately coming away with a …
