There will be rides and food, and of course, rides on firetrucks. The fair, held at the firehouse on River Road, runs through Sept. 1, excluding Sundays. Check out this weekend's best bets: Hundreds of cyclists will race Fair Haven's streets Sunday for the fourth annual Tour de Fair Haven competition, featuring six races in a 1.7-mile enclosed course. Cyclists will compete for $10,000 in prizes, and proceeds from the event benefit the Fair Haven Foundation. The race starts at 7 a.m. at the Fair Haven firehouse on River Road. Next time you go to the beach in Asbury Park, you may need to cover up before you enter the boardwalk. Last week, Louise Murray, a former Asbury Park councilwomen and the current chairperson of the city’s Republican Party, spoke during the town’s council meeting to raise the issue of a long forgotten ordinance still on the books.
