The organization's mission is to "preserve, secure and strengthen Jewish life and values in our community, the State of Israel and throughout the world." The federation provides social services to families in crisis, the elderly, the disabled and the unemployed, and also supports educational and cultural experiences for Jewish children, adults and families.

The Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Mercer, which can be contacted at 609-219-9555, seeks "to provide a sustainable legacy for our Jewish community locally and globally through endowments and resources that maximize the charitable objectives of our donors." In 2009, the non-profit foundation distributed more than $1.8 million to local and international groups. The foundation manages several scholship funds, endowments and grant programs.
Jewish Community Campus of Princeton Mercer Bucks, which can be reached by calling 609-219-9550, provided social and recreational activities for local Jewish families for over 40 years. These activities include an annual summer camp held at Rider University. The JCC's new 70,000-square-foot facility, being built on Clarksville Road in West Windsor, is slated to open in 2011.
