Services for Brandon Holt, 6, Friday and Saturday

St. Joseph Parish and School in Toms River remember Holt, who was fatally shot Monday, as a 'exuberant, energetic and happy student'

Services for the 6-year-old Toms River boy who was fatally shot by a 4-year-old neighbor while the pair were playing will be held Friday and Saturday. Visitation for Brandon Holt will be held Friday, April 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m., as well as Saturday, April 13 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals in Toms River.   A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Toms River, according to Holt’s obituary. Rider University Student Killed in Accident

Visitation Wednesday for Michael W. Pascrell, 21, who will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

  A Rider University student died Saturday after he was hit by a car late Friday near Route 46 in Wayne, NJ.  Michael W. Pascrell, 21, who died Saturday after being struck by a car Friday night, was a lifelong resident of Wayne.  The Wayne Valley High School Class of 2010 graduate was walking on the right side of a ramp leading to Route 46 at about 10:15 p.m. Friday when an unidentified driver struck him. Pascrell died at St. Joseph's hospital at 12:35 a.m. Saturday morning, police said. Pascrell will be laid to rest at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa after a funeral mass at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of the Valley Church, 630 Valley Road. Obituary: Nicholas (Nick) King, 42

Nicholas (Nick) King, 42, passed away at home on Sunday, March 24, after a two year battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. He was born and grew up in Bristol, England, where his good looks, intelligence and fun-loving nature gained him a wife, a PhD, and many friends. In 2001 he moved to San Jose, California, and subsequently to Lawrence Township, N.J., in 2002. He worked for JDSU as an optical engineer, designing amplifiers for the telecom industry. He gained several patents during his career. He was a great problem solver, very resourceful, and could turn his hand to almost anything. Obituary: Raymond C. Kaminski, 94

Raymond C. Kaminski, 94, passed away on Thursday at Compassionate Care Hospice, Trenton. Born in Johnstown, Pa., Raymond was a former resident of Trenton before moving to Lawrence Township. He was a staff sergeant with the U.S. Army and served a tour of duty in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theatres. Raymond retired in 1969 as a Supervisor with Columbia Carbon in Trenton. He was a Parishioner at the Church of St. Ann and a member of the North Trenton American Legion Post #458, the Lawrenceville VFW Post #3022 and the Lawrence Seniors Club. Beverley Fichera Lester, 66, of Lawrence Township died peacefully on Friday, March 15, at University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. She died after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Lexington, North Carolina, Beverley was a resident of Lawrence for the past 30 years. Beverley graduated from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in 1968 and continued her education receiving her master’s degree in 1972 from Teachers College at Columbia University. She was a Special Education teacher for 26 years, having been in the Lawrence Township School System for 20 of those years, before retiring in 2004.
