St. Lawrence Rehabilitation Center
St. Lawrence Rehabilitation Center is a 129-bed nonprofit hospital, sponsored by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Trenton, that provides both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative services. The facility took charge of its first patient in April 1971. In May 1971 the center was formally dedicated by Bishop George Ahr of the Diocese of Trenton. St. Lawrence underwent a five-year renovation that was completed in 1998.
Promising to care for the "physical, emotional and spiritual needs" of its patients, St. Lawrence offers physical and occupational therapy, brain injury rehabilitation, vision rehabilitation, speech therapy, therapeutic recreation, vocational counseling, social and psychological services and other programs.
Located in adjoining buildings are Villa Vianney and Morris Hall. Villa Vianney, situated at 2301 Lawrence Road, is the Diocese of Trenton's home for retired clergy. Morris Hall, located at 1 Bishop Drive off Denow Road, is a Diocese of Trenton facility that houses both St. Mary's, an assisted living and residential care center, and St. Joseph's Skilled Nursing Center.
