Summer concert, vehicle day at the library, cooking class for kids and more highlight weekend events in and around Lawrenceville.

Friday

Mercer County Summer Concert Series "Steve Maglio Band," 1638 Old Trenton Rd West Windsor, 6 p.m.

The summer wind will be coming off Lake Mercer as Steve performs Frank Sinatra’s greatest hits.  Beer and wine garden on site. Food available for purchase.

M&M Productions Presents Stories of Jesus Christ in “Godspell," 1638 Old Trenton Rd West Windsor, 8 p.m.

Performances are July 12 and 19 at 8 p.m.; July 13 and 20 at 8 p.m.; and 
Sundays, July 14 and 21 at 2 p.m.  Kelsey Theatre is located on the college’s West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.  A reception with the cast and crew follows the opening night performance on July 12.

Vehicle Day in the Library Parking Lot, 2751 Us Highway 1, Lawrence Township, 10 a.m.

Climb into a police car, fire truck and ambulance. Fun for the whole family.

First Baptist Church Eggerts Crossing Smorgasbord121 Hillcrest Avenue Lawrenceville, noon.

Summer Fun Kids Cooking ClassMrs G TV & Appliances, 1 p.m.

Mrs G's Executive Chef Mary Beth, "The Appliance Chef," will guide budding young culinary enthusiasts in a class to make some summer favorites like strawberry shortcake, fruit salsas and pizza on the grill. Students will learn about using fresh and local ingredients while they enjoy some delicious treats! For ages 8 and up; parents must be in attendance. $35 a child (parent included).
