Events in and around town this week.

Monday

Bricks4Kidz Lego Building Program, Lawrence Library, 2751 Brunswick Pike, 7 p.m.

Come build a spin art machine with Lego bricks and a small motor and create works of art to take home. For ages 5-years-old and up.

Tuesday

Family Event, Lawrence Nature Center, 481 Drexel Ave., 7 p.m.

Play board games, picture matching, puzzles, lotto, game books and card games.  Or bring your own game to share.  Please preregister by e-mailing lawrencenaturecenter@gmail.com.  Include your name, the number attending, children's ages, and a phone number to contact you in case of program changes.

Wednesday

Two Communities One Country: Veteran-Civilian Dialogue, Lawrence Branch of Mercer County Library - 2751 Brunswick Pike, Lawrence, 6 p.m.

A facilitated conversation between civilians and combat veterans on the impact of war on their lives. Open to all members of the community. Please RSVP at rsvp@intersectionsinternational.org.

Independence Day

All township and state government offices are closed.

Friday

Fireworks and Concert, Rider University, 2083 Lawrenceville Rd  Lawrenceville, 7:30 p.m.

Music is scheduled to begin around 7:30 p.m. with the fireworks beginning at around 9:45 p.m.
