A presentation of recent artwork by TCNJ faculty exploring issues related to the
College’s year-long theme of “constructing the past.” Artists in the exhibition
include Anita Allyn, Betsy Alwin, Chung Chak, Lynn DeClemente, Kenneth
Kaplowitz, Elizabeth Mackie, Jay Muhlin, Phil Sanders, Gregory Thielker,
Liselot van der Heijden, and Mauro Zamora.

On Tuesday, Sept. 3, from 4 p.m.-5 p.m., faculty members Anita Allyn, Kenneth
Kaplowitz, Elizabeth Mackie, Gregory Thielker, and Liselot van der Heijden will
participate in a roundtable discussion of their recent work. The discussion
will take place in Room 102 in the AIMM Building. The opening reception will
take place the same day, from 5-7 p.m. The exhibition is free and open to the public during TCNJ Art Gallery hours, which are Tuesday, Wedneday and Thursday, from noon-7 p.m. and Sunday, 1-3 p.m.

Womanspace is looking for volunteers to join its Domestic Violence Victim Response Team (DVVRT) and Sexual Assault Support Services (SASS) Advocate Team. Team members work in conjunction with local police and hospital staff to provide victims support, information, and referrals. In the past ten years, teams have served over 6,400 residents of Mercer County. Last year, team members provided services to 732 domestic violence victims and 88 sexual assault victims.

Bilingual individuals (especially those fluent in Spanish, Polish, and American Sign Language) are encouraged to apply. Volunteers are also required to be fluent in English.

Interested persons must submit to a background investigation, including fingerprinting. 100th Anniversary Celebration, Princeton Kingston Nurseries Site, Mapleton Preserve/D&R Canal State Park, 145 Mapleton Road, Kingston NJ 08528, 1 p.m.

In the Spring 1978 issue of the Princeton Recollector William Flemer, Jr. wrote: “The first farm of some sixty acres was purchased from the Myrick family, at a cost of $9,000, in September 1913.”  So began what was to become Princeton Nurseries.

Join the Friends of Princeton Nursery Lands (FPNL) for the 100th Anniversary Celebration of the Princeton Nurseries Kingston Site. 

This event features Princeton Nurseries displays, historic vehicles, celebratory speeches, and live music by The Bare Root Band (William Flemer IV and friends). 

Refreshments and birthday cake will be served. free, and
all are welcome!
