Looking for things to do in and around Lawrenceville this week? Here are some highlights.

Monday

The Lawrenceville Presbyterian Preschool will host a free Yoga Class for Kids, 9:45 a.m. 

Lawrence Library presents the movie "Field of Dreams." Registration suggested. 2 p.m. 

Washington Crossing Audubon Society will host ac presentation by Dr. Dennis Waters. He is known as the Township Historian of Lawrence, but also as a published amateur lichenologist. He will provide an introduction to these creatures that are commonly found (but easily overlooked) on trees, and some guidance on identifying the several dozen common taxa found at the Pole Farm in Mercer Meadows. Pennington School, 8 p.m. 

Wednesday

Colloquium,: Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory presents 'Cybersnooping: Collection and Analysis of Metadata and Content' by Edward Felten, director of the Center for Information Technology Policy at Princeton University. 4 p.m. 

A discussion, 'Outside the Box: Progressive Education.'Educators from local K-8 schools and resource centers will discuss essential elements of learning and how they are incorporated on a daily basis in their schools. Educators include: Jane Fremon, Founder and Head of Princeton Friends School; David Hebelein, Waldorf Teacher and Peter Bergson, Founder, Open Connections. Lawrence Library, 7 p.m. 

Congregation Beth Chaim hosts a Business Networking Group, featuring speaker Robert Prunetti, president and CEO of the MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce. 7:30 p.m. 

Thursday

HomeFront's Women's Initiative presents the 4th annual Share, Shop, Give holiday fundraiser. The bazaar featuring, designer goods to custom art and lots more.  Register, 5:30 p.m. 

Discover the original Indian inhabitants who once hunted, fished and gathered wild plants throughout the Central New Jersey region.
Historian Jim Wade, an archaeology archivist who has worked on Indian excavation sites in New Jersey. Refreshments served. Registration is suggested. Lawrence Library, 7 p.m. 

Friday

Brown Bag Series Lecture at The College of New Jersey. Discussion of a project to use Appalachian miners’ oral histories as well as original research as seed material for Radford University's’s performance of "The Shadow Waltz." The speakers will also discuss how the performance weaves miners’ stories with dance, music and text to reflect the history and mysterious pull of Appalachian coal mining. The Mildred & Ernest E. Mayo Concert Hall (Music Building), 11:30 a.m. 

Join Stephanie Crosby, herbalist, naturopath, wellness coach, and consultant and Joan Feldman-Plumb, massage therapist and health educator as they provide tips, keys, practices and remedies for keeping you and your family healthy as the weather changes. Wellness Center of Lawrenceville, 7 p.m.
