Thank You For Making Our Food Drive a Success

More than a dozen shopping carts worth of food and over $250 were donated during the food drive held March 10-11 in Lawrence Township by HomeFront, Lawrenceville Patch and ShopRite.

Thanks to the generosity of the community, more than 12 shopping carts overflowing with food and $266 in cash were collected during the food drive held this past weekend (March 10-11) at the in Mercer Mall in Lawrence Township.

The drive – which was organized by and Lawrenceville Patch in cooperation with the good folks at ShopRite – benefited the HomeFront food pantry, which each month passes out about 1,000 bags of food to needy families and individuals throughout Mercer County

“We are so grateful to all the caring compassionate members of our community that made it possible for us to stock our shelves with nutritious food and provide local families in need with food for hungry bellies,” said Christine Lee, director of the HomeFront-operated Lawrence Community Center.

“We look forward to collaborating again with Lawrenceville Patch and Shop Rite of Mercer Mall – two organizations that are our wonderful partners in the fight against hunger,” she added.
