Lawrenceville Scouts Visit West Point

The Scouts enjoyed a variety of activities.

Scouts from BSA Troop 27 of Lawrenceville recently enjoyed a weekend of college football and camping at West Point federal military reservation.

The Scouts enjoyed a variety of activities, including:

  • Witnessing a West Point tradition in which more than 2,000 cadets marched in full dress uniform onto the parade grounds known as "The Plain."
  • Attending cadet-led tour of the U.S. Military Academy campus, including the dining hall where more than 4,000 cadets eat their meals at the same time in 15 minutes or less.
  • Watching Army's parachute demonstration team jump from a helicopter and land inside the stadium at midfield with the game ball.
