The park is named in memory of Chuck Weeden, a Lawrenceville School teacher and coach whose vision was to create a lovely green area for local residents, students and shoppers. The school generously made the land available to the community and partners with LMS to maintain the park.

Over the years, the LMS Landscape Committee has made improvements to the park including plantings, pathways, lighting, signage, a gazebo, a picnic table, and benches. The park has become a community gathering place for seasonal events such as the LMS “Music in the Park” summer concert program and “Holidays in the Village.”

Lawrenceville Main Street is a volunteer-led organization dedicated to fostering a sense of community and continuing the revitalization of our historic downtown area by organizing events, building partnerships, cultivating the business environment, and enhancing the physical setting of the Village of Lawrenceville.

An official Main Street New Jersey community, LMS is accredited by the Main Street Center of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. For more information, call (609) 219-9300 or visit www.LawrencevilleMainStreet.com.
