Anchor House Ride for Runaways Finishes at Quaker Bridge Mall Today

Anchor House Ride for Runaways finishes 500-mile charity ride today in Lawrenceville.

Quaker Bridge Mall will welcome more than 200 cyclists completing the last leg of their 500-mile bike journey in support of raising funds for the homeless, runaway, abused and at-risk youth and their families. 

The 35th Annual Anchor House Ride for Runaways began on Sunday, July 14 in Burlington, Vt. and will end at Quaker Bridge on Saturday, July 20 at 3:00 p.m.

During the seven-day bike journey, riders traveled through scenic routes in Rutland, Vermont; Glenn Falls, Latham and Kingston, New York; and Matamoras and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

The event is expected to raise approximately $500,000 for the non-profit Anchor House, Inc., a multi-program social services agency based in Trenton, N.J. The organization provides food, emergency housing and clothing for hundreds of runaway and homeless youth every year, offering a beacon of hope throughout Mercer County.

“We’re thrilled Quaker Bridge Mall will be the final destination for this annual bike ride fundraiser,” said Marian Kapp, director of mall marketing. “We’re excited to continue our support of this wonderful organization that gives back to our community."
