HOW TO START A FAMILY GARDEN

Today, Professor Amy Ricco from Mercer County Community College will present "HOW TO START A FAMILY GARADEN" at the Lawrence Township Senior Center at 7:00 pm located at 30 Darrah Lane East.  Parking is adjacent to the building. Refreshments will be served.

Spring will be here in couples of days and Professor Ricco says it is the perfect time to introduce children to planning a small vegetable garden, how to plant seeds indoors, and plants cool crops outdoors.  What fun it is to learn where food comes from. to be part of the process, and then enjoy the harvest as a family.

Professor Amy Ricco earned her Master of Arts and Teaching with a Major in Agriculture Education at Cornell in 1998 and she has been on staff at Mercer County Community College since then.  This year  Professor Ricco was selected for the Distinguished Teaching Award 2013.

This program is being sponsored by the Garden Gate Garden Club of Lawrenceville.
