Rider University to Host Fourth of July Fireworks

The Independence Day celebration will feature a live band followed by a fireworks display.

Lawrence Twp.'s Fourth of July fireworks display will once again be held at Rider University's campus.

The 30-year-old tradition drew almost 10,000 people last year, according to Rider's website. The band Kindred Spirit returns to kick off the celebration starting at 7:30 p.m. with fireworks to follow at 9:45 p.m.

Kindred Spirit features an ecletic mix of classic rock and motown sounds and has played "pre-show events" for big name artists such as Eric Clapton, Paul Mc Cartney and Fleetwood Mac, according to the band's website.
