Potentially Dangerous Heat Across NJ

The heat index across New Jersey pushes 96 degrees as we approach the hottest part of the day.

Camden County, Woodbridge Township, and several other local governments have  issued heat alerts for the hours between noon and 7:00pm. The predict a peak heat index of 98. The high temperatures are the same across New Jersey.

The heat has caused train delays and can cause heat stroke or heat exhaustion in what are called the "dog days" of summer.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook concerning the heat wave encompassing Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and all of New Jersey. They're also predicting severe thunderstorms later in the week.
