Two Lawrenceville Girls Selected for National Trampoline Team

The JumpStart program identifies future elite trampoline and tumbling talent for athletes ages 8-10.

Following national JumpStart testing January 10-12, at the USA Gymnastics National Team Training Center at the Karolyi Ranch USA Gymnastics named two Lawrenceville trampolinists to their 2014 JumpStart National Team.

After scoring high in state testing, Nicolette Pawar, 10, and Katie Prikril, 10, of Motion Gymnastics each received invitations to the Karolyi Ranch where they went through testing for strength, flexibility, skills and routines.  The hard work and perseverance paid off, as the girls were two of just 21 trampolinists named to the team.

“This is such an unbelievable accomplishment for Katie and Nikki,” said their coach Heather Edwards.  “Only 43 children were even invited for national testing.  We’ve had them as students since they were three years old and watched them grow into talented trampolinists.  I am overjoyed they made the Jumpstart National Team.”
