June 9: Captain Paul’s, 11 vs. Candela’s, 4

Congratulations to the Lawrence Little League American Division Champion Captain Paul’s. The team defeated Candela’s 11-4 in the Championship Game on Saturday June 9 in truly a solid team effort.
Captain Paul’s team included: Aidan Kane, Gianni Leonardo, Jake Dallarda, Jarad Vinch, Joseph Laitusis, Kevin Dalle Pazze, Nabil Hachicha, Ryan McGann, Sebastian Centano, Shawn Johnson, Thomas Monacchio, Tristain Curbishley.

Coaches: Mike Johnson & Ed Miller
June 7: Lawrence FOP, 16 vs. Miele, 9
Hunter Rivera reached base and scored four times as Miele lost to FOP in a playoff consolation game, 16-9. Matt Carson , Eli Kooistra and Kyle Vichroski also scored for Miele.
Chap Turner, Ben Cohen and Garrett Maloney each singled and scored twice for FOP in the victory.
Girls Softball
June 8: Terhune Orchards, 7 vs. Poulson and Van Hise, 6
Kinsey Ratzman singled, doubled and scored twice for Poulson and Van Hise in a close 7-6 loss to Terhune Orchards. Katie Smith also singled and scored in the loss. Erica Cawley pitched well off the mound giving up just one hit.
Melissa Rothenberg had the key hit - a bases-clearing triple - during a six-run third inning that helped put Terhune in the championship game. Rothenberg also pitched a complete game for victorious Terhune.
