'Understanding ADHD' Workshop to be Held Oct. 24

Attention Decit/Hyperactivity Disorder will be the focus of the free workshop at Lawrence High School.

"Understanding ADHD: A Free Workshop for Parents" will be presented at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Lawrence High School.

ADHD Coach Katherine McGavern, co-founder of the Mercer County chapter of CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention Decit/Hyperactivity Disorder), will answer questions such as:

  • What is ADHD?
  • What are the behaviors?
  • What are the executive functions?
  • What are strategies for parenting a child with ADHD?

The workshop is funded by a grant from the Lawrence Township Education Foundation.
