Slackwood School Dragon Boat Team Wins Medal

The team from Slackwood Elementary School won the bronze medal in the Educator's Division during the recent Paddle for Pink dragon boat festival and in doing so raised more than $900 for the Princeton YWCA Breast Cancer Resource Center.

For the second consecutive year, Slackwood Elementary School’s Dragon Boat Team – “Rowed to Victory” – took the bronze medal in Educator’s Division in the fifth annual Paddle for Pink dragon boat festival that took place at Mercer County Park in West Windsor Township on Sunday, June 5.

The annual event – hosted by the “Majestic Dragons,” a dragon boat team from Princeton made up of breast cancer survivors – serves as a fundraiser for the Princeton YWCA Breast Cancer Resource Center.

The Slackwood Elementary School team raised over $900.
