School District Honors Retirees and Award Winners

Twenty-six Lawrence Township public school teachers, administrators and support staff who are retiring at the end of the current school year were honored during a staff recognition dinner held at the Mercer Oaks Golf Course in West Windsor on Thursday, May 19.

Amy Van Treuren, a fifth-grade teacher at Lawrence Intermediate School who was named both and , was also recognized, as were the recipients of the annual :

• Melissa Poli, preschool teacher at Ben Franklin Elementary School
• Amy Amiet, music teacher at Eldridge Park Elementary School
• Elizabeth Strauss, third-grade teacher at Lawrenceville Elementary School
• Sharon Civil, second-grade teacher at Slackwood Elementary School
• David Boggs, physical education teacher at Lawrence Intermediate School
• Tracy Bozarth, science teacher at Lawrence Middle School
• Kathryn Henderson, English teacher at Lawrence High School
