LMS Students Assist BF Kids Care After-School Program

The Lawrence Middle School students helped 25 kindergartners and first-graders at Ben Franklin Elementary School create friendship bracelets for patients at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Ben Franklin Elementary School graduates Kayla Krisak, Olivia Waaben, Melissa Rothenberg, Sarah Tennant, Madeline Kemo, Gwyneth Lavery and Lisa Smith served as mentors to the BF Kids Care after-school program.

The girls, who now attend Lawrence Middle School, helped 25 kindergartners and first-graders create friendship bracelets for patients at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

Supervising teacher Mrs. Krisak said the girls were "amazingly patient and wonderful with the little ones" and she can't wait to work with them again.
