Staff from all four Lawrence Township elementary schools (Ben Franklin, Eldridge Park, Lawrenceville and Slackwood), Lawrence Intermediate School and our team of district Anti-Bullying Specialists attended the NJ Alliance for Social, Emotional and Character Development’s (NJASECD) annual statewide conference as guest speakers at Rider University in mid-March.

The conference’s theme was “Positive School Climate: The Antidote to Bullying.” As a district with one National School of Character (Eldridge Park in 2011, with Lawrenceville Elementary a 2012 finalist!), five State Schools of Character (BF, EP, LES, Slackwood, and LIS), and seven Promising Practices awards, our staff members were invited to share effective practices of our statewide and nationally recognized character education programs.
