High School Arts & Humanities Garden to be Unveiled

LHS Celebrates Arts and Humanities Garden Grand Opening

You’re invited to grand opening of the Lawrence High School Arts and Humanities Garden – designed as celebration of student work and doubling as a teaching and performance space – on June 12 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The project was led by LHS art teacher Khalilah Sabree, her students and Artist-in-Residence Julie Deery. The garden was made possible by grant from Lawrence Township Education Foundation and the support of Arts and Humanities Academy Leader Jill Vaughn, as well as the Lawrence Township Public School maintenance and facilities department and the LHS administration.

LIS Students Win "My County" Poster Contest

Lawrence Intermediate School student Aluen Tomat-Kelly won first place in the Mercer County “My County” Poster Contest and Zoe Lang was the fourth place finisher for Mercer County. Both students are in Ms. Eleanor Driscoll’s fourth-grade class.

The students were recognized by Mercer County officials at a reception at the Lawrence Township Branch of the Mercer County Library on June 4.

 

Lawrence High Student Art Showcased in Abud Gallery

Lawrence High School seniors will have their artwork featured at the Abud Family Foundation for the Arts, 3100 Princeton Pike, Building 4, Suite J, Third Floor in Lawrence Township from noon to 5 p.m. on June 12-15.
