Free Workshop Wednesday Will Help Parents Teach Their Kids Five Essential 'People Skills'

The "Five People Skills Every Child Needs to Learn" workshop on Jan. 11 will give parents of Lawrence Township students practical ideas for helping children to feel more comfortable and confident in social situations.

“Five People Skills Every Child Needs to Learn,” is the topic of a free workshop to be held Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 7 p.m. at , organized by the Character Team at Lawrenceville Elementary School and funded by a grant from the Lawrence Township Education Foundation.

The workshop will give parents of Lawrence Township students practical ideas for helping children to feel more comfortable and confident in social situations.  This presentation describes five essential people skills that are part of the unspoken social curriculum for school-age children.

The workshop’s keynote address will be presented by Eileen Kennedy-Moore, PhD. 

Dr. Moore is a psychologist, author and blogger for psychologytoday.com.  She has been featured on many nationally syndicated radio shows and has been quoted in dozens of magazines and newspapers.  Dr. Moore works with adults, children, and families in Princeton.
