The enhancements will provide better intellectual and physical access to information thereby promoting literacy and the enjoyment of reading, viewing and listening as well as provide leadership, curriculum collaboration, instruction and consulting assistance in the use of instruction and information technologies.

To accomplish this, dedicated lap-top computers will be purchased while the current desk top computers will be relocated throughout the district.

Having dedicated lap-tops in the Library Media Center will serve the technological and collaborative needs of our students and teachers.

A “juice bar” will be built to allow students to charge their personal devices creating a highly functioning space for our students.

Other enhancements include adjusting the shelving to ensure easier access to books and material.  Seating will be updated to encourage students to stay a while and read.  New, prominent signage will point the way to the material sought allowing easier access to materials.

These grants, as well as all other grants awarded to the public schools, are made possible by the generosity of the donors who contribute to LTEF.

The Lawrence Township Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization that fosters educational excellence, creativity and achievement in the Lawrence Township Public Schools. Since 1992, it has funded over 500 programs in the Lawrence schools with grants in excess of $2.5 million.
