Ben Franklin Students 'Turn Off the Tube'

Students signed a pledge not to watch television or play electronic games for one week. The goal of the annual event is to teach children and families that real life is much more stimulating and entertaining.

Last month, Ben Franklin Elementary School held its "Turn Off The Tube Week."

The goal of this annual event is to teach children and families that real life is much more mind stimulating and entertaining than television and electronics.

Ben Franklin students signed a pledge, indicating that they would not watch television or play electronic games for one week.

To keep the children entertained and engaged the school's PTO hosted a week of fun- filled activities, which included "Aspiring Author's Night", "Lego Night", and Dance Party-Pizza Night."
