College Volleyball: Rider University 3, Delaware State University 1

DOVER, Del. — The Rider University volleyball team rallied from one set down to defeat Delaware State University 3-1 on Thursday evening (Oct. 25) in Dover.

Rider (11-11) won 10-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-23 over Delaware State (4-17).

For the Broncs, junior Bridget Sheerin (Oak Lawn, Ill./Marist) had 21 kills and hit .442 with sophomore Ashlee Amatulli (Menifee, Calif./Temecula Valley) adding 43 assists.

Senior Brittany Gajewski (Whitehouse Station/Hunterdon Central) had 17 digs for Rider.

The Broncs host Canisius College on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Alumni Gymnasium in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference match.
