LAWRENCEVILLE - In a match that featured 27 ties and eight lead changes, the Rider University volleyball team lost a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference match to Loyola Maryland 3-1 on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 20) in Alumni Gymnasium.
The 'Hounds won 19-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-22, handing Rider (10-11, 4-8 MAAC) only its second home loss of the 2012 season.
For Rider, senior Stephanie Nagy (Muscatine, Iowa/Muscatine) and junior Bridget Sheerin (Oak Lawn, Ill./Marist) each had 11 kills with senior Brittany Gajewski (Whitehouse Station/Hunterdon Central) and sophomore Jaclyn Webber (Anaheim, Calif./Canyon) each adding 22 digs.

Nagy also had four blocks for the Broncs.
The Broncs out-hit Loyola .200 to .183.

Also for Rider, sophomore Ashlee Amatulli (Menifee, Calif./Temecula Valley) had 13 assists and 10 digs with junior Meghan Bartsch (Cranford) compiling 19 assists and five digs.
Loyola defeated Rider 3-2 on September 7 in Baltimore to sweep the season series.
Rider travels to Delaware State for a non-conference match on Oct. 25.
