The trailers will be travelling from Blackwell Road to Lawrenceville- Pennington Road, making a left turn onto Bergen Street. Because of the size and nature of the trailers, "Transco" will be temporarily relocating the trees and shrubs on the traffic island at Bergen Street and Lawrenceville-Pennington Road in order to gain access to Bergen Street.

The first trailer is 170-feet long by 18-feet, 6-inches wide by 15-feet, 3-inches tall; the second trailer is 163-feet long by 14-feet, 4-inches wide by 15-feet, 3-inches tall.

Once "Transco" has successfully delivered their equipment to their Cold Soil Road location, they will authorize their contractor to restore the Bergen Street island. "Transco" will also coordinate tree trimming along Bergen Street and Cold Soil Road. Lawrence Township is working diligently with "Transco" and their representatives to ensure a safe and undisruptive delivery.

Shredding Event a Success

Lawrence Township residents should be congratulated for a great turn out at our second annual shredding and electronics drop-off event on Oct. 7. Residents endured the rain and recycled and shredded 2.86 tons of paper and documents. Residents also loaded two dumpsters with 3.84 tons of covered electronics, avoiding the landfill and saving disposal costs.

Because of the success of this event, we are currently planning another shredding and electronic disposal day next spring. Residents are also reminded to drop-off all covered electronics at the Public Works facility every Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 240 Bakers Basin Rd. Please call the Department of Public Works at (609) 587-1894 with any questions.
