Submit a Question for the Oct. 16 Presidential Debate

Have a question for Obama or Romney? Submit it in the comments section and it may be used on live TV Oct. 16.

If the first presidential debate left you with more questions than answers, here’s your chance for the two candidates to address the issues that most matter to you.

The next debate will be a town hall meeting format at Hofstra University in Long Island, where voters will ask President Obama and Mitt Romney about domestic and foreign policy.

Patch is asking you, our readers, to participate by submitting questions for the candidates.

Just post your question in the comments section below and we’ll send it to the Commission on Presidential Debates. The Commission is partnering with Patch's parent company Aol, along with Google and Yahoo, to take questions from web users across the country.

Don’t wait until Nov. 6 to have a say in this year’s election.

My question for President Obama: What did you mean by the sidebar comment to President Putin about having more flexiblity after the election, and what are your views about the role of Russia in regard to the Middle East?

for Gov. Romney. You have said you are for a two state solution like most Israelis, yet you are on film stating that the two state solution will never work. That said, what is your vision and path to peace in the middle east.

On July 26th of this year my same-sex partner of 10 years and I finalized the adoption of three siblings who were separated out of the Washington DC foster care system. The same day we were married. My question is simple. Do you consider us a family? If so what will you do as president to ensure we are protected and have equal rights as all committed families? The Government Accountability Office cites 1,138 rights, benefits, and protections offered to families with heterosexual parents that we do not receive.

My question: If Obama,s health care is so wonderful, why is everyone in the House Of Represenatives, The Senate, President and Vice President not included in the plan?

What will you do to improve education and prepare people for jobs in a technical economy? Ex: Company cooperation between schools and colleges to create the skills for the jobs or internships for students.

To Romney: What programs or loopholes will you close to lower the deficit?
D.W. Canup October 15, 2012 at 10:47 PM
To Romney: Are you ok with Companies threatening employee's jobs if you don't win this election?

To Romney:You have said you are against abortion under any circumstances. With the huge number of children waiting to be adopted and the underfunded foster care system, what do you plan to do to assure a chance for a decent life for a child born to a mother who is honest enough to say she can’t provide for this child? If the state is going to demand a child be born, what responsibility does the state have in the care of the child after birth?

to mitt romney: do you feel the voter repression laws passed in some states is a fair and just way to limit fraud or do you feel that it is a sad and pathetic way to side step the 15th amendment? and do you feel that if you won due to these repressions, that your victory would be cheapened?
