Seventh Annual Mercer County Economic Summit to be Held April 12

The event, with the theme "Mercer County: Building Momentum," will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. at The Conference Center at Mercer County Community College.

Local and national economic experts will give overviews on the state of the economy at the seventh annual Mercer County Economic Summit on April 12.

The event, with the theme “Mercer County: Building Momentum,” will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. at The Conference Center at Mercer County Community College.

It will be presented by Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes, the Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Mercer County Office of Economic Development & Sustainability, in partnership with the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce (PRCC). The event is sponsored by PSE&G.

The keynote address, sponsored by PNC Bank, will be delivered by Bob Doll, vice chairman, director and chief investment officer of Global Equities at BlackRock Advisors, LLC. He will discuss the progress made by the global and national economies, and challenges that are now being faced.

Professor James Hughes, dean of Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University, will deliver an update on the state and local economy. Hughes’ remarks will be sponsored by Hopewell Valley Community Bank.

In addition, there will be a roundtable titled “Partners in Prosperity” featuring representatives from KenCo, Hutchinson and Idis, sponsored by Princeton Healthcare System. The roundtable will be moderated by Caren Franzini, CEO of New Jersey Economic Development Authority.

Other special guests and speakers include Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, Mercer County Executive Hughes and Pat Ryan, chairman of the PRCC board of directors. After speeches have been delivered there will be time for cocktails and networking, sponsored by Fox Rothschild.
