Primary Elections Will Be Held Today

Polls will be open today from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Registered voters in Lawrence Township will have between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 7, to cast their votes in the 2011 Democratic and Republican primaries.

If you are unsure of where to vote, you can quickly find out by entering your address in the “Polling Place Search” on the website of New Jersey Department of State.

Three seats on the Lawrence Township Council are up for grabs in the November general election.

Today’s primaries are uncontested in the Lawrence Township Council race.

Incumbent Councilman Michael S. Powers and newcomers Cathleen M. Lewis and David Carl Maffei have been , while Kyle Collins, Colette Coolbaugh, and Falk Engel have been .

Lawrence Township voters today will also help decide who will represent their parties in November in the races for Mercer County executive, county sheriff, county surrogate, and county freeholder, as well as 15th Legislative District state senate and assembly races.
