Mercer County Announces New Workshops for Small Business Owners
Various programs will be held from July through October.

Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes is pleased to announce an expanded list of small business workshops sponsored by Mercer County.
The workshops, held in partnership with the Union County Economic Development Commission, feature an exciting lineup of new courses that will be held over the next several months. As always, the courses are free of charge and are held at various library locations in the county.

“These workshops are a great way to help propel your business to the next level, or to get it back on track,” said Hughes. “Let Mercer County help your business, free of charge.”
The added courses will include the following:

- “Credit & You” Seminar – Wednesday, July 13, from 6-8:30 p.m. at Ewing Branch Library
- Marketing – Wednesday, Aug. 17, from 6-8:30 p.m. at Robbinsville Branch Library
- Pricing Your Products and Services – Thursday, Sept. 8, from 6-8:30 p.m. at West Windsor Branch Library
- Understanding Your Financial Statements – Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 6-8:30 p.m. at Lawrence Branch Library
In addition, the county will host a Heating Systems workshop at the County McDade Building on Tuesday, July 12. This seminar, which is for heating contractors only, will feature a presentation on the county weatherization program and will detail the bid process by which heating contractors can bid on county contract work for all residential heating repairs.
As always, the county and the Small Business Development Center will continue to hold their free business seminar program during the second half of 2011. These workshops, which are held from 6 to 8 p.m., will include:
- How To Start Your Business A-Z - July 26 at Hopewell Branch Library and September 21 at Hamilton Library
- How To Do Secure Contracts with the County - Sept. 12 at Ewing Branch Library
- Financing Your Business in Mercer County - July 21 at the Bank of Princeton and Oct. 12 at Hopewell Valley Community Bank
- Free Counseling to Help You Grow Your Business - Held at various library locations throughout the year
