Whether it’s boating, fishing or enjoying a day by the river, Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes and the Mercer County Park Commission invite area residents to make use of the docks on the Delaware River.

The docks on the Delaware, located behind the Waterfront Park baseball stadium, will open Friday, May 6, for use by the public. Starting Friday, boat owners and the public will have access to the docks through October with regular hours of sunrise to sunset, seven days a week. Free parking is available in the parking lots outside Waterfront Park.

The docks are maintained and operated by the Mercer County Park Commission and allow travelers on the Delaware access to Trenton attractions such as Trenton Thunder baseball games and Katmandu restaurant and nightclub. The docks are not staffed, so patrons are urged to practice water safety precautions.

“Our county park system is one of the best, if not the best, in the state, and these docks offer anyone access to the Delaware River, one of the most scenic and enjoyable recreational resources we have in New Jersey,” said Hughes.
