Last night, Lawrence Police received a call from the Delaware State Police with information that Melville had purchased a bus ticket to New York City, according to Lt. Mark Ubry.
Detective James Smith then, contacted the New York and New Jersey Port Authority who held Melville until Smith and a relative arrived to transport Melville back home, according to Ubry.
"[Melville] was in good health," said Ubry.
Although it is still unclear why he left his residence, Ubry said the first priority was to ensure Melville's "welfare was good."
Ubry said Detective Smith will follow up with Melville in a couple days.
Welcome back home Melville. And excellent work by the Police Departments
