Trenton Woman Allegedly Macing Victim at Colonial Lanes Bowling, Police Said

A 19-year-old Trenton woman faces multiple charges after she allegedly maced a fellow bowler as he tried to leave the parking lot of Colonial Lanes Bowling in Lawrence

The incident happened on Wednesday, Sept. 11 shortly before 1 a.m., according to Lawrence Township Police.

Ebony Brooks, was charged with aggravated assault, possession of an unlawful weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes. She was sent to Mercer County Corrections Center in lieu of $26,000 with 10 percent down.

According to police, Brooks and her 20-year-old female companion were bowling inside Colonial Lanes and allegedly throwing (not rolling) the balls down the lane. 

The couple bowling next to the women asked them to not throw so aggressively and a verbal argument ensued. When the couple finished bowling, they asked for an escort to the parking lot, police said.

Brooks and her companion left behind them, with Brooks allegedly throwing her bowling shoes at a Colonial employee on her way out. 

Brooks' companion allegedly got into the car and blocked the couple in so they couldn't leave. When one of the alleged victims- a 26-year-old Lawrence man- asked the woman to move the car, that's when Brooks maced the man in the face, police said.
