Three People, Two Thieves and a Ferret

Did you know ferrets cost $169?

It was a case of a stolen ferret.

According to Lawrence Township Police, the incident happened on Tuesday, Jan. 14 shortly before 1 p.m.

That's when an employee of Pets Plus on Lawrence Road reported that three people had come into the store: a man with a ponytail, a woman dressed all in black and a man with a pink Mohawk.

The man with the ponytail allegedly asked to play with a puppy. While he was doing that, the man with the pink mohawk and the woman walked over to the other side of the store where the ferrets are kept.

After the three left, the employee noticed a ferret (valued at $169) was missing.

The next day, the man in the ponytail returned the ferret, which was reported to be in good health.
