Three Charged in Coolidge Avenue Robbery

Police say a Trenton man approached a Coolidge Avenue resident from behind, grabbed her purse and jumped into a car.

 

Three people were arrested on April 3 after police say a man robbed a Coolidge Avenue woman, then fled in a waiting car.

Jermaine Mann, 19, of Trenton, was charged with robbery, theft and various weapons charges. Nakian, Cain, 20, of Trenton and Courtney Stafford, 19, of Ewing were charged with robbery and theft.

According to Lawrence Township Police, a 77-year-old woman was walking inside a home in the 100 block of Cooledge Avenue when a man, later identified as Mann, grabbed her purse from her shoulder and jumped into a waiting vehicle. The car was last seen headed north on Princeton Pike.

An officer later saw the vehicle on Route 1 and stopped it as it turned into the Quaker Bridge Mall. Mann, Nakian and Stafford were inside, along with the victim's purse.

Police also discovered that Mann had a loaded 380 caliber handgun. He was held on $75,000 bail.
