A fire that consumed a trash receptacle full of cardboard next to a delicatessen early this morning (Friday, Oct. 7) is under investigation as a suspected act of arson, according to Lawrence Township police and fire officials.

The blaze, which was reported at 12:35 a.m., involved one of the trash bins located to the side of the building occupied by Lucky 7 Deli in the 1900 block of Princeton Avenue, at the corner of Lawrence Road (Route 206).
