Princeton U. Store Employee Charged with Prostitution

Police say the couple engaged in sexual acts in the store on at least three different occasions.

An employee of the Princeton University Store has been charged with prostitution after he allegedly engaged in paid sexual acts in the store after hours, according to Princeton Borough Police.

Eric Everett, 23, of Bordentown, was arrested and charged with prostitution and shoplifting.

Brittany Smith, 20, of Keyport, was arrested and charged with prostitution and shoplifting, possession of a controlled dangrous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to police, an investigation into a store theft at 36 University Place revealed that Everett Smith had been engaging in prostitution.  

Everett met Smith on Craigslist and the two agreed to meet at certain times and engage in sexual acts for a price set by Smith, police said. During at least three encounters, items including food and drinks were stolen from the store. 

Everett was arrested on Sept. 24. Smith was arrested on Sept. 25 and was found to be in possession of 11 Adderall tablets and a marijuana pipe. Both were charged and released without bail. They are due in court on Oct. 1.
