Police Say Area 'Heroin Mill' Disrupted by Raids, Arrests

Authorities dealt a significant blow to the Mercer County area drug trade Thursday night (Jan. 10) when they arrested two Trenton men accused of being “key figures” in a “substantial heroin mill.”

The suspects – identified as Tyreek Harrington, 26, and his uncle, Gregory Harrington, 48 – had been sought by authorities since Dec. 14 when city police officers and New Jersey State Police troopers executed search warrants at the Harringtons’ home at 353 Reservoir St. and also an abandoned house located across the street at 358 Reservoir St., according to a news release issued today by the state police.

Seized during those raids were drug packaging materials, grinders, respirators, stamping equipment, heroin, crack cocaine and powder cocaine, state police said.

Arrest warrants were issued for Gregory Harrington and his nephew but the two eluded capture until Thursday night when, in Trenton, state police crime suppression unit detectives nabbed Gregory Harrington on Reservoir Street and found Tyreek Harrington in a parked car near the corner of Wilson and Reservoir streets.

Each suspect was charged with multiple drug offenses, including heroin possession, possession with intent to distribute, and conspiracy to distribute, and was sent to the Mercer County Correction Center in lieu of $50,000 full cash bail, state police said.
