Police are looking for two men who they say put a Princeton University graduate student in a "choke hold" before robbing him.
On Monday, between 9:15 and 9:20 p.m., two Princeton University graduate students were walking north on Maple Street when two men walked past them and then came up from behind, police said.
One of the victims was put in a “choke hold” from behind by one of the unknown suspects, who then demanded the victim’s money. One of the suspects removed an iPhone from this victim’s pants’ pocket, police said.
One suspect ran north on Maple Street and the other suspect ran south on Maple Street, out of sight. No other property was stolen. Neither victim suffered injuries, police said.
A search of the area by the Princeton Police Department did not locate the suspects.
One suspect is described as a black male wearing a black shirt in his 20s. The other was described as a black male wearing a white shirt in his 20s.
The investigation is continuing by the Detective Bureau.
