Police Blotter: Naked Woman Accused of Attacking Neighbors

Here's a roundup of notable police activity in Lawrence Township from Jan. 22 through Jan. 29.

Burglary

A 24-year-old resident of an apartment building in the 2600 block of Lawrence Road (Main Street/Route 206) was arrested and taken to the regional crisis center in Trenton after she entered a neighboring apartment, removed all her clothing, and attacked the two residents of that unit, according to Lawrence Township police spokesman Lt. Mark Ubry.

The incident occurred shortly before 11:10 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26. Ubry said the male victim told police he was playing video games, his apartment door unlocked at the time, when the 24-year-old suspect entered wearing only a robe.

The woman, who the man said he recognized as a neighbor, sat down and began talking to him, Ubry said. He said the man’s girlfriend, hearing voices, came out from another room to see what was going on.

When the girlfriend appeared, the 24-year-old suspect started to scream, removed her robe and attacked the girlfriend, Ubry said. He said the boyfriend restrained the naked suspect while his girlfriend called 911.

Police soon arrived and took the 24-year-old into custody, Ubry said. He said the woman was then taken by ambulance to the crisis center at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton.

As part of their investigation, police discovered drug paraphernalia in plain view in the suspect’s apartment, the door to which she had left open, Ubry said. He said she was charged with burglary, assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.
