At least two people were injured in the collision along Interstate 95 South in Lawrence Township on Nov. 28.

At least two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 95 in Lawrence Township this morning, Monday, Nov. 28.

The accident occurred about 11 a.m. along the southbound side of I-95 just prior to Exit 8B (Princeton Pike North). Both cars involved in the collision came to rest off the roadway, against the chain-link fence in the wooded area that separates the interstate from the Princeton Pike Corporate Center on Lenox Drive.

An elderly male driver and his passenger - his elderly wife - were removed from their wrecked car by emergency medical personnel, aided by Lawrence Township firefighters, and transported in separate ambulances to a local hospital.

The occupants of the other car could be seen standing nearby and did not appear to be hurt.

The accident remains under investigation by the New Jersey State Police.
