Lawrence Police Seek to ID Woman in Bank Fraud

The woman fraudulently withdrew $2,100 from a bank account belonging to an Illinois resident, according to Lawrence Township police.

Lawrence Township police are asking the public to help them identify a woman who fraudulently withdrew $2,100 from a bank account belonging to an Illinois resident.

Police said the thief, seen in these bank surveillance camera photos, committed the crime at the Chase Bank branch located inside the ShopRite supermarket at Mercer Mall on Route 1 about 5:40 p.m. on Feb. 6.

In withdrawing the $2,100, the woman provided the victim’s social security number and showed an Illinois state driver’s license – believed to be fake – that bore the victim’s personal information, police said.
