While investigating those crimes, authorities said, East Windsor police allegedly discovered prescription medications in the brothers’ possession belonging to a resident of the 100 block of Gainsboro Road in Lawrence Township.

An East Windsor detective called the woman – who happens to be related by marriage to the Boehm brothers – to inquire about the medications.

It was after she received that call from East Windsor police that the woman realized her home had been burglarized. She, in turn, called Lawrence Township police at 6:23 a.m. today (Friday, May 27) to report the burglary.

Lt. Charles Edgar, spokesman for Lawrence Township police, said the woman told police that on Monday she arrived home to the find that the cellar door at the rear of her home was unsecured.

She did not think much of it at the time, even when she noticed that some inexpensive pieces of jewelry were not where she had left them, he said, noting that the woman just thought that she had misplaced the items.

After speaking with the East Windsor detective, however, the woman made a thorough search of her house and confirmed that her home had indeed been burglarized, Edgar said. He said she discovered that more expensive pieces of jewelry, along with prescription medications, were missing.

No charges have yet been filed against the Boehm brothers in connection with the Gainsboro Road burglary, Edgar said, but he noted that Lawrence police are working with East Windsor police to conclude the investigation.
